The broken smile

I have met a girl that I´m sure she was beautiful before…
Before reality mades her wake up when she was just a child

*Being surrounded by sharks and others devourers
She talked about thousand of dreams scattered on the road
Things she thought someday could do but never could
Sometimes she walk on the corners and speak with no cheap cars
And sometimes men with strange faces haunted her room
Looking for money giving her sweet white snow
She said it will come the day I´ll be finally free*

I saw her sitting at the same bar I was too
She was bow over a glass of Martini almost sliding away
Wearing a nylon red dress, very worn out and a green-yellow shirt
Her make-up was off, she got black rings ´round her eyes
And she was talking to me as if she were desesperatly looking for a friend
In fact I should go away for a compromise I have hade
But I stayed beside her and saw her tears wetting her face

*Chorus

She drank one glass after the other
When I say to her “Try to don´t drink anymore!”
She reply “Why?” and I broke down inside
Even though I already knew her answer
In a moment she took my hand and looked me in the eyes
As though she knew what I felt
And said “It´s okey, I´m used to receive blows!”
And with a very beauty painful voice she added
“You can´t take dreams or hope away to an unbeliever!”
