Envy

I´ve heard about a man that stayed in love with the souvenir…
She was a girl with fire in her feet
She was a dark-skinned woman
She was as beautiful as dawn
She didn´t borrowed her ears to gossip
She fleed from the nonesenses talking that seemed to follow her
She got everybody stunned with her beauty
But none of the mediocre people had the capacity
To attracted her eyes with words
And that way housewives went hating her even more
Because her distance attracted more the men like flies

*She only was 16 years old, but got a woman´s body
The women criticize her innocence as doubtful
She had never bother no one and just asked for the same in return
Just to one man she gave her love away*

And that was the day that men in little town
Get joined to his wives saying she was a bitch
That man a little bit older than her doesn´t matter what they said
With her he found out a tenderness he didn´t knew
And her need of protection tied him to her
He felt proud about to got such a jewel beside him

*Chorus

But coming to the end of that story I´ve heard I started to cry
I couldn´t believe the brutality, thoughtless of humankind
Still is unknown who was the one that force her to shut
While tears fall for having went to live with that man
And she slave of the shadows, drove mad

*Chorus

He go to see her and read her books everyday
But no one knows if she take notice of his presence
And he still remind the taste of honey and lemon on her lips

*Chorus
