What would you have done?

I remind you about the tragedy my people lived when they met yours
And you reproach me my colour of skin, my last name and history

You are not what you look like, but what you feel like
You confuse resentment with memory

*You think I say this with hatred against of you
Is true and I know it wasn´t you, but…
If you would have been there… what would you have done?*

I tell you that it´s unforgiveable the massacre they commited
And you come up with excuses saying “I haven´t had the fault!”

The guilty is the selfishness, the envy, the hatred
All that from which the stranger was owner
What I lay in ain´t resentment but sorrow
And what makes me speak is memory
And for being faithful to her I won´t allow their voces get hash

*Chorus

They don´t just strip them of their customs, languages and treasures
But they also strip them of their own lives
They condemn them to live a life to die

If I tell you this I´m not looking for a “I haven´t had the fault”
But for you asuming the true from which your people is part of
And get ashamed by the atrocities they made to a whole continent
And stop to party the genocide that start and ended your people in the name of Spain

*Chorus

I would have gave my life a thousand times to defend
My people and their right to liberty and what about you…
You would have gave surely for…
For who?

*Chorus
